Girls Class A - Individuals
Nothing is certain about this race. Weather tests the mettle of all runners, and anyone can have an off, or on, day at States. On paper, Zariel Macchia is the defending Champion, winning by over 15-seconds on the same course in 2023. She's had another strong Season, proving she can travel, and win races. The Manhattan Eastern's Champ, she can win fast races. She's moved herself up the Sunken Meadow AT List, so she can win hilly races. But there are plenty of other names here in the mix. Saratoga put two girls under the course record at Queensbury last week. They have plenty of motivation to run fast here again, and could pull the upset. Lillie Bogdan is the defending Regional Champ at Bowdoin, and was 2nd at this race the year before. She could stick closer to the fellow Junior, and give a scare when needed. We're excited for this one.
