2021 NYSPHSAA Boys State Championship Meet Preview

Boys Class C Individuals

Breakdown:
In an interesting development, this is the only race of the day where the top seven individuals don't have to worry about team scoring. That allows for some risk taking, and there is plenty on the line to risk.  Kyle Urban outran the pair from Allegany Limestone at both McQuaid, but he only split the pair at Sectionals. While the Sectional meet is only about making it to the next stage, things could play out similarly when all three athletes toe the line on Saturday. Teh unknown in the field is Nick Lyndaker, who hasn't ventured westward enough to meet up with many of his fellow Class C competition. How will the influx of new talent change the dynamics of the race? We'll find out soon enough.
Quick History:
Alden has had two individuals place top ten since 1950
Canton had a runner up in 2001
