Boys Team Race
Breakdown
There was some definite shakeup in the scoring here, with the largest winning point totals since 2006. That type of race density can make any missteps uncorrectable, and Burnt Hills ran the cleanest race, to come out on top. At Suburbans, Burnt Hills was behind Guilderland by 10-points, and then on a Sectional Merge, 30-points at Sectionals. BH came back with a win here, peaking at the right time, and getting their first win of the championship season over top seeded Guilderland. In fact, it was a strong performance by Mount Academy to come closest to the boys of Burnt Hills, moving past Saranac Lake in a reversal from the State Meet Merge a week ago. Rounding out the Top 5 was Fordham Prep, with their highest finish ever.
