What The Numbers Say: Last year, it was a battle the whole way through, a duel up at the front. In 2019, Sarah Connelly has pulled away as the favorite to defend her title from the year before. Adding a Spring State Title as well, Connelly has been running very well on Long Island, opening big gaps on the field.
What Can Change: Connelly's biggest competitor, Olivia Morganti, is back from an injury that removed her from a majority of the season. It's hard to tell if she is in shape to challenge Connelly, but anything could happen, especially given the conditions. Megan McLaughlin is also looking for valuable team points in the mix, and that motivation could provide a jump.
