What The Numbers Say: Can lightning strike twice? In Saratoga's position, it would be three times, but then again, their mascot is the Saratoga Streak. Saratoga's past two races have been some of their best in program history, a program that dates back to the 80's. If they run true to form, or even better, they'll be the team to beat at Plattsburgh. As it stands, even with some reversals, they come in as the favorites. Saratoga's strength comes in their depth, with any one of their scoring seven placing very low in the double digits.
What Can Change: Manlius is close enough to capitalize, and they have the motivation of a one-point loss the year before to drive their race. The last time Manlius took to the course, they scored a perfect 15-points, so there is plenty of history on the line. They have the tools to race well up front, and a big jump in the fifth position could put them primed for a slimmer margin than predicted. Manlius is known to race well in the end of the season, so its hard to count them out.
