This Year's Outlook
|
The
Falcons put a big scare into Brooklyn Tech at last year's PSAL
championship and almost earned their school a sweep of the team titles
following the victory of their boys' squad. With the top four runners
from last year's race back and only one gone from the 2017 varsity,
Susan Wagner is very well set with a deep enough squad to claim a title
it has not won in at least ten years. Sophomore Kathryn Altieri appears
ready to challenge for a top 5 spot in the PSAL, and if a group of
seniors can push a little upward for top 20 spots in the conference, the
Falcons may have enough SWagger to take the first title for a Staten
Island school since McKee Tech won the 2013 crown.
