Why: The depth of talent here is most likely more so than both the Mile and 2 Mile combined. At the top of the order is Shayla Sanders (Young Women's Leadership), who has run 2:14.17, and is currently US #9. However, Emily Philippides (Greenwich, CT) has the best personal best in the field, having run 2:10.8 both indoors and out. Also sneaking in is Christine Mancini (Cardinal O'Hara, PA), with her best of 2:12.82.
The field isn't limited there. Keelin Hays (Tatnall, DE) has her best of 2:14.89 to rely on, Sarah Crissman (Fleetwood, PA) with a 2:14.09 to answer with, and Windsor Ardner (Liverpool) representing Upstate New York with her 2:16.60. Add in several more under 2:20, and you have one very fast final.
