The results are in, and 2004 lands itself as the greatest year of Track and Field in the modern age, for New York State. Two female Olympians (Natasha Hastings and Shana Cox) were competing this year, as well as National Record performances in the 400m and Pole Vault, of which one still stands. Walter Henning was just getting started, and the boys saw records in every event discipline (Sprint, Middle Distance, Distance, Hurdles, Jumps, Throws, Relays) possible. It truly was the best year for Track & Field in New York.
