State of the Action: Katelyn Tuohy was the clear favorite heading into the race, and despite the worst conditions in modern state meet history, Tuohy managed to separate. In fact, she did the unthinkable. She broke a course record set back in September, when the course was running nearly a minute and a half faster. She was 40-seconds faster than anyone else in the field, despite rolling her ankles quite a few times in the mud. Kelsey Chmiel ran a strong race of her own, speed rated nearly identical to her winning performance the year before. Behind her, came four runners in green.
