Girls Class A - Teams
What The Numbers Say: The numbers are pretty clear. Fayetteville-Manlius is the favorite for their 12th consecutive Class A State Title, and merge win. They have six girls ahead of the fields fourth, and it should be enough that there is some wiggle room for inconsistency. Then again, no team has handled the mud at Portland Meadows better than them, and Wayne should be no different.
What Can Change: There was some inconsistency in their Top 5 at Sectionals. With a return to form from Manhattan, the only thing stopping them from another 15-points would be Tuohy. On the other hand, inconsistency from more than one runner could bring the point totals closer, and open the door for Shenendehowa, who is seeing the State Meet starting line for the first time as a team since the mid-90's.
