Corning Clinches Course Record Sweep - McDaniel Baxter Pre-State Recap

Girls Race 4 Individual

Notes: 7th Grader Lizzy Lucason got her first major invitational off with a big bang, leading the pack through two miles by a big margin.  However, as was evident all day, the last mile was the decision maker.  That's when Maria Kogan of Port Washington saw her opening, and surged to the front.  Taking to the final stretch, Kogan utilized her track strength to come away with the win.

Girls Race 4 Team

Notes: East Aurora looked downright impressive at Chenango, running a controlled race throughout.  At 800m, they had already set up their team performance, keeping a tight pack. As the race progressed, the front runners closed on the leaders, while the back two continued to hold their position.  East Aurora finished 5th overall in the merge, despite having less than a handful more kids than allowable for a Class C school.
