What do you enjoy about your event?
I like how I am competing against myself and racing my old times to improve.
What has been the highlight in your running/throwing/jumping career thus far?
Breaking the school record four times in the 4X100 relay has been the highlight of my running career so far.
What’s the funniest thing that has happened to you while competing?
Having my friends encourage me with movie quotes always cracks me up and relieves some of my stress before competing.
What thoughts run through your head while competing?
I focus on my breathing, pace, running on my toes and stretching my stride.
What other sports do you enjoy?
I also love playing soccer and basketball.
What is your favorite food?
My favorite food is quesadillas.
What is one of your favorite movies?
"The Notebook" is one of my favorite movies
What would be your ideal vacation?
I love being outside, so camping and going hiking would be my idea of a great vacation.
Who is your role model and why?
My parents are my role models because they are truly happy with what they have and I hope I can be like that when I am older.
What do you do to relax?
In my down time I like to read, ride my dirt bike, play with my siblings, and hang out with my friends.
