This may have been the most unpredictable race of the whole weekend, one that included thrills and spills abound. Running out of the second of four heats, Haley Riorden had nothing to lose. She exploded away the last 200m, pushing herself to exhaustion, most likely hoping for a new personal best. She got not only that, but when the top seeded heat went tactical, and passed through in 67sec for the half, Riordan's stock went through the roof. Lindsey Butler would kick away to win the fast heat, but the time wouldn't be fast enough to kick Riordan off the throne. | |||||
