State of the Action: On paper, the 3000m could be much like the 1500m, with one athlete out in front. Kelsey Chmiel is the defending State Champion, and set the meet record here last year. Her fitness indicates she is capable of that mark again. However, Brooke Rauber is only ten seconds behind her based on times from this year, and a big jump in competition could be the impetus for a breakthrough performance, and possibly an upset. Both Reilly Siebert and Sophie Ryan are also under 10mins this year, and could be in the mix. | |||||
