State of the Action

This race, much like the 3000m, is so loaded with All-Time talent, it will be hard to pick out a favorite.  Last year saw much the same cast of characters, and was so loaded, it still remains as our twitter header.  Noticeably missing is defending favorite Sammy Watson, who forewent States to pursue a World's Qualifying Time. But the race is just as competitive without.

Everyone saw the 1500m Indoors, where Katelyn Tuohy was outkicked in the final meters of the race by Jessica Lawson.  Both athletes are now back, with Katherine Lee and Kelsey Chmiel added in.  Lee may just have an equal kick to Lawson, and Chmiel may be the most powerful of the bunch.  The game-changer, however, is that Tuohy and Regina Rosati are the only athletes in the Top 10, not doubling back from a race on Friday night.  How will that affect the outcome? Only time will tell.  Caroline Timm is your Top D2 entrant by a good ten seconds, and should be right in the mix for the Fed title.
