The 2017 Glenn D. Loucks Preview Blowout - A Viewer's Guide

Girls 3200m

Event Info: Friday - 6:35

State of the Action

The big event on Friday won't disappoint.  Kelsey Chmiel is back to defend her Loucks title, with two more National Class Records under her belt since last year.  She hasn't slowed down since, but will have plenty of company. Jackie Gaughan was 11th at Foot Locker Nationals, won the New Balance Grand Prix Mile, and took 7th in the 2mile at Indoor Nationals.  Amanda Vestri was 4th in the 5000m at Indoor Nationals, as well as at Penn Relays in the 3000m. Katherine Lee was ranked Top 5 in the country Indoors, before being sidelined by injury.  She's back in form now, challenging for the win.  Caroline Fischer is an NXN finalist, while Ella Ketchum is the only one who runs the 3200m on a regular basis, giving her the familiarity with the event.

If the field stays tight, we could see our closest finish here.
