Preview in Review: A Two Week Reflection on Preseason Rankings

Overall Boys

Team   Class   TR Average from 2013
1. Fayetteville-Manlius A 181.0
2. Liverpool A 179.4
3.  St. Anthony's CHSAA (A) 168.8
4. Warwick Valley A 164.2
5. Mount Academy C 163.4
6. Pittsford Mendon B 163.2
7. Ithaca A 162.6
8t. Tappan Zee B 162.0
8t. Collegiate AIS (C) 162.0
10. East Aurora C 161.4

Kyle's Comments: There could be some shuffling at the top.  Fayetteville-Manlius looked strong in their openers, both a dual meet and an invitational.  Liverpool may soon find St. Anthony's closer than expected with the return of Joe Tucker, who was previously thought to have been sitting out the season, as in 2013.  Joe is the brother of Pat Tucker, who placed as an All-American in the 5k on the track.  The pair will lead the Friars.

Kyle's Comments: Brighton ran true to their speed rating average at ESM, with a tight compression.  Tappan Zee's average is strong at the front end, with a nice 1-2 punch.  However, it seems as unrnaked Carthage now has the edge over TZ's top two, and could put some pressure for the individual race as well. Yet, it still looks like Section 5 is a hot bed for Class B competition so far.
