Only a couple of the meets had results and ratings that could be seriously used for Class A as a few meets like Section 1 Coaches seemed to be mainly course review sessions where even the top teams were running well below the standard set at McQuaid or Manfattan and a few of the teams were resting key runners. Most of the changes in ratings came from Burnt Hills, where an intact Fairport team placed 2nd ahead of a partial Shenenedehowa team, and Niskayuna and Smithtown also excelled. Another meet that saw some teams boost their ratings was Nassau Coaches, where Calhoun and Bay Shore did nicely in the B race. The week ahead should tell a lot more about team strengths as conference and county meets proliferate.
