Wasaren League Cross Country Championships and Modified Invitational

Modified Invitational Races:

1st and 2nd place teams receive trophies, 1st-30th finishers receive ribbons.



Varsity Races:

-Boys and girls 1st and 2nd place teams receive trophies.

-Boys and girls 1st-30thfinishers receive ribbons.

-Scoring (7) boys and girls championship team members and 2 coaches get shirts



All Stars: Top 14 individual finishers from each race receive a t-shirt, and a group photo will be taken.



Athletes: Please make sure each athlete follows the jewelry and uniform rules. Athletes must wear their own bib. Appropriate language and behavior is expected. Rules will be enforced, as we should be preparing our athletes for Sectionals. The Park is carry-out, and all park facilities are off-limits. Porta-Johns will be available.



Entries and Results: *New this year.* Please enter all athletes in advance into MileSplit. A team may have unlimited athletes at the starting line, but only the top 7 count toward scoring. Enter rosters into MileSplitNY. to Bob Underwood. by Friday 10/18. Please complete and turn in finisher cards at the completion of each race.

Emma Willard2 Spotters as they enter woods at start

Hoosick Falls3 adults: Awards and cards for VG

Stillwater1 back up timer at starting/finish line

Greenwich2 Spotters at bottom of hill

For schools working the finish line: THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. To prevent any confusion at the finish line, your parent volunteers should report to the Tamarac adult who is overseeing the finish line. 3-4 adults is best. Athletes should receive assistance ripping off their bib, put each bib IN ORDER on the spindle, give a finisher card, then a Top 30 ribbon at the end of the chute.



Trophies and All-Star awards: Awards will be given out at the conclusion of the Varsity Girls Race. Results will be sent to the Post Star, Times Union, and Gazette.



*Voucher/Invoice: You must give your AD the voucher below. Each school pays the same amount for this meet. The voucher pays for: park use fee, (which has increased), shirts, trophies, ribbons, and results. Payment is due to Deb Lauver, Wasaren League Treasurer, by 9/6/19.
