Hispanic Games presented by The Navy

The two big stories of the day for New York came from the Girls side, as the action kicked off with a prelude to the Millrose Mile, as two of the previous 2012 Millrose Qualifiers squared off in the 3000 Meter Run.  Alexis Pannisse of Benjamin Cardozo overtook Briana Nerud of North Shore in the last 50 meters of the race, but anything can happen come February 7th.  Millrose was again the talk of the meet, as the Invitational Mile was another auto-qualifier for the prestigious Millrose Mile, this time taking the top 2 finishers.  Mary Cain of Bronxville and defending Millrose Champion Sam Nadel of North Shore both got to breathe a sigh of relief, as their journey to Millrose was made easier by the notable scratch of Ajee Wilson of Neptune NJ, best known for her 2:02 800m speed.  Both Nadel and Cain would go on to qualify.
