NEW YORK – Warner Cooley III turned to the crowd of teammates, dressed in black t-shirt and lining the edge of the stands at Ichan Stadium. Cooley just won the 400 meters, turned the crowd and lifted both hands in the air. The crowd did the same.


“Everyday,” they all shouted in unison.


Asked what it meant, Cooley skirted the question as something that had multiple meaning but he applied it well this time.


“It means all I do is win, Cooley said.


In that case, everyday should be the CHSAA championships. Sacred Heart-bound Cooley led the St. Anthony’s to its second of back-to-back CHSAA titles Saturday. He won 400 meters in 49.69 seconds, and anchored the Friars winning 4x400 relay as St. Anthony’s rebounded from a loss indoors to dominate the outdoor meet with 62 points. Chaminade, the indoor champs, finished second with 35.
