Chamique Francis isn’t any closer to a decision on where she might run next year. The Cardozo senior said she plans to announce her decision on Feb. 2, the national college signing day for track and field.

She listed the University of Texas, LSU, Texas A & M and South Carolina among her top choices but not in any particular order. In the meantime, she joined her other highly touted teammates, junior Lateisha Philson and senior Claudia Francis, along with Ayele Townsend to leisurely post the nation’s fastest time this season in the girls sprint medley relay.

Cardozo won the event at the Martin Luther King Relays Monday in 4:06.38. Only 10 teams posted performances faster than 4:07 last year indoors. Cardozo’s squad did it Monday like they were pacing a time trial in practice. ...
