2023 NYSPHSAA Girls State Championship Meet Preview

Girls Class D - Individuals

Brynn Bernard is the reigning State Champion, as well as the home-Section favorite. One year later, and she's still on top of her game, but the admittedly, the State has caught up, and the youngsters have their eyes forward. Anna Furman could make this the first ever Brother-Sister sweep, as her brother is in contention on the Boys Side. Furman is a strong runner in her own right, and has a slight edge on the field. But Andrea Sassatelli is ready to be tested, one year after her outing on this very same course. No pressure for either, with plenty more of these meets to come.
