The Sectional Merge had Monroe-Woodbury looking good for the win, even with sitting out their third man Oliver Jibb. But Corning had their own fluctuations at Sectionals too, and put them back in their typical finishing order, and the points swing in their favor. Fairport is within striking distance of both of them, having raced well head-to-head at McQuaid.
Most likely, but not definitely, it will come down to those three teams, vying not only for a State Title, but also posturing for other races to come down the pipeline. Corning is the defending State Champs, and that counts for something, but it could also make the field that more hungry for change.
