Summary:  Although the results of the Suburban Council are not always a perfect indicator of what will happen in the boys S2-A race, when a team blows up all the bridges there as did Saratoga this year, it's a safe bet they'll win at Sectionals. The Blue Streak's smash performance lifted them up among the top three teams for the States A race along with Corning and Monroe-Woodbury. Reigning champ Shenendehowa looks good for 2nd. Suburban champ Mason Talarico is the decided favorite for the individual title.

Summary: Burnt Hills does not have the power lineup that can dominate the bigger teams in the Suburban Council, but it still finished 5th with a lineup missing two of its usual top 6. The competition is closer now in S2-B with Foothills Council champ Scotia-Glenville in striking distance. If the Spartans have a full squad though, they should get a comfortable win here and set their sights on a sixth straight state championship. After finishing 8th in S2-B last year, Matt Windecker is the favorite in this year's race.
