Summary: These last two years, S1-A has been a coin-toss. North Rockland won the Rockland County meet, and Scarsdale finished behind only Somers at Westchester. The Red Raiders have better compression with their pack attack, but Scarsdale has a top duo with Alexandra Simon and Rachel Rakower who could grab a quick lead for the Raiders. Morgan Eigel of Fox Lane finished 5th last year and is the top returner in 2022, and she and Sophie Ginsburg of White Plains could be reprising their duel at Westchester for 2nd behind Eastchester's Ava Pennachio. Northern County champ Abigail Kowalczyk of Ketchum could also be in there.

Summary:  Another barn-burner for the Section 1 girls as Somers squares off with reigning champ Pearl River. The Tuskers have better compression and the Pirates have last year's runner-up Madyson Moroney at the top and a deeper team. Eastchester's Ava Pennachio won at Westchester and is expected to battle Moroney for the win.

Summary:  With the exceptions of the top runner for the three teams, the pace the last two weeks at Section 1 Coaches and Westchester County has been relaxed. There are some questions about who will be stepping to the line for all the teams for the S1-C race, but reigning States Class C champ Bronxville likely has the edge. Pleasantville finished only four runners at the County meet, which could mean something or nothing.

Class D

Summary:  It is uncertain whether any team in S1-D will have five runners finish for a trip to the Intersectionals.
