PSAL's Top Runners

The PSAL was mainly off last year, though a few runners got some times in. There's not much to go on here, so we'll just cite the top three results of guys who did get results last year plus another three who finished in the top 20 of the 2019 PSAL championship.

Michael Rodriguez-King (Susan Wagner). Two years ago he finished 7th (top 2021 returner) in the PSAL championship meet and since then the Falcon senior has been eating up the track at distances from the 300m indoors to the mile. With a truly spectacular last name also going for him, he should be ready to warm up a big senior track campaign with a very strong XC run.

Keith Connelly (Susan Wagner). The Falcon senior was 11th two years ago in the PSAL championship and had some fine times in track this spring. As of this writing he's not listed on the SW roster, but if he's running, the Falcons will have quite a strong top two.

Atticus Bacon (Stuyvesant). The Pegleg senior was 13th in the PSAL championship two years ago and got to shake a leg a bit last fall though he had no track results. Wait and see.

Joseph Perazzo (Susan Wagner). The Falcon junior ran a 4:22 mile in track last spring, and that sounds like he could be a fine addition to a team that has a few other top runners.

Nathaniel Boutin (Martin Luther King Jr.). The Knights' junior had an extensive XC season and posted a strong 168 speed rating at the Northeast XC championship.

Lucas Simpson (Millennium). The Phoenix junior finished 53rd as a freshman at the 2019 PSAL championship, but a nice batch of results at the Ocean Breeze and Northeast XC meets indicates he's set for a big year.
