Two weeks ago, we picked apart the best All-Star DMR's in State History.
Now, it's the Sprinters' turn.
We
choose to look at the Texas SMR, as it provided the biggest stage for a
collection of sprinters of all the SMR's. No distance anchor legs
saving your team in the 800m. The relay order goes 100m-200m-300m-400m.
The legs could be any four runners who competed for the school at any
point in history, without repeating any of the legs. Teams were
balanced for the fastest possible net time. For each team, we used each
runner's personal
bests in the 100, 200, 400, and Indoor 300m. Hand-Times were not allowed
for marks after 2000, although verified splits were allowed for the
200m/400m.
Note:
Our cutoff was 2:10.50, so our list when to twelve teams. Did we miss
someone? Email us at kbrazeil@milesplit.com, and we'll do the math to
see if you jump in!
