Boys Easterns - Teams
Recap: Unbelievable team depth was promised, and the results more than delivered. A week after placing just off the Top 2 teams in the country at Great American, La Salle of Rhode Island nearly halved the points garnered by the next best team in the field. They reiterated their lead position in the Northeast Region, one that is more loaded than ever before. La Salle College avenges their loss to CBA earlier in the year, by switching the stakes here at Manhattan. Surely appreciated by a meet that was at it's birth, a Catholic School Invite, the top three teams are all Catholic Schools, all from different States.
The margins for 2nd-7th were all razor thin. Only Manlius was the lead team in their State for that middle grouping, in a separate Region than the rest, all of which who find themselves #2 in their States. Manlius saw a regression from one of their usual Top 3, who's substitution would have put them second overall.
The race is a only a small preview of what is set to be a glorious NXN-NE Region. One team noticeably missing was Coe-Brown of VT, who ran closer to home. Adding their Speed Ratings to Easterns puts them squarely third overall, just adding to the intrigue of this future matchup.
