This weekend is the Bowdoin XC Classic, where plenty of surrounding states come to visit the course that will hold NXN-Regionals. While many New York athletes take their talents up North to McQuaid, there is still plenty of action back in Wappinger's Falls.

Key Team Matchup
LaSalle College HS is PA #1 and Nationally Ranked, while CBA Lincroft is NJ #1, and Nationally Ranked as well. LaSalle put on a good show at the Briarwood Invite, but CBA has yet to open. Both schools look favorited to be battling for an NXN bid on this course come November, but there are plenty others in the NE looking to stake their claim.
Key Individual Matchup
Both evenly matched at a 176 Speed Rating, Jonah Gorevic (Hackley) and Justin DePinto (Syosset) will be trying to hold off the frontrunners from the two respective team champ potentials.
Girls Races
Key Team Matchup
Ridgewood and Holmdel are currently NJ #1 and #2, and will do battle for the first time this season. Staten Island's Notre Dame Academy could break up the party, though.
Key Individual Matchup
A nice preview of the CHSSA battle to come, Maggie Maier (Sacred Heart), Shannon Thieke (Sacred Heart) and Sierra Dinneen (NDA) are the top three returners from that race last year. Kathryn Altieri (Susan Wagner) currently holds the highest Speed Rating of them all non-NYSPHSAA, but hails from the other Federation, the PSAL. The highest rated runner in the field, Karrie Baloga (Cornwall), will be running the Freshman distance at 3K.
