Indoors, the triple jump was redemption for Rayvon Grey,
who didn't make the Long Jump final. Grey later went on to break 26-ft
in the Long Jump, so you could say it all worked out. Outdoors, the
Triple Jump may be the tougher competition for Grey, as Tobi Tella
has been dominating the event all season. Tella was the Top American
at Penn Relays, before improving his NY #1 (sans wind-gauge) at State
Quals, breaking 50ft. That makes him the man to beat in the pit, but
there are plenty close to challenge. Ronel Forde went
51ft indoors, and another miracle jump could clinch the weekend. Matt
Baker has been putting marks up there, and could again put pressure on
the leader. Anthony Butler is your top seed in the D2 competition, and will fight for the Fed Final. | |||||
