New York Boys State Rankings - Week 2

Rain remained in the area, canceling another week of competition for Southern New York Teams, but it was sunny skies for the upstate harriers. That allowed a competitive McQuaid Invitational to play host to plenty of action across all classifications, and some teams are only getting better as the Season progresses.

These will be the last rankings updates before the annual Manhattan Invitational helps provide clarity to how the State is shaping up, so we saw some big movers and shaker. This weekend, there will be some smaller invitational action, as well as Long Island trying to get in their required meets. We typically don't count Dual Meet results in our calculations, but we've seen plenty of strong performances there, indicating these rankings can switch on a dime when those teams actually get to compete under fair skies.

Teams are listed with the average speed ratings numbers supplied by Tully Runners, and the number in parentheses shows difference between the 1-5 runners, each point equaling 3 seconds on a 5K course, and smaller compression numbers are generally better.
