State of the Action: Nothing shakes your confidence more than not making the finals in your favored event.  Well, that and going up against someone who just shattered the NYS Record just days prior, nearly a foot further than anyone ever from NY Indoors.

But Rayvon Grey had to get over his own mind quickly if he wanted to stay in contention.  After a 45 opening jump, he once again fouled his second.  Knowing he hadn't made finals, Grey finally made contact, launching himself 48-00.25, which would have been long enough to win the event on his own.  But just for insurance, while he missed the 4x200m final with purpose, Grey put two more jumps further than that, leaving the field behind en route to a Beacon sweep of the jumps.
