State of the Action: It helps to have a teammate in the competition with you. Nationally ranked Rayvon Grey had trouble finding the board in the opening jumps of the Long Jump, knocking him out of the finals. But all season, his teammate, Terrel Davis, had been there alongside him. With Grey out, Davis had to show he was not just a second fiddle. Davis passed his middle two jumps, after knocking out his winning mark second. Infinite Tucker was the only other athlete over 23-feet, and Davis had two jumps superior to that mark. Beacon started off their day with one half of a sweep in the event. | |||||
