New York State XC Rankings
Following Week of Saturday, October 5
Note: Even during a weekend of fairly light activity, the NY teams had a lot of races to win, and 13 of the ranked teams raked in the wins. Saratoga was the biggest NY squad in action at the big Great American meet in North Carolina. There is little change in the rankings, but the humongous Manhattan Invitational is coming up fast. The action at Manhattan could lead to some movement in the Class A and B rankings. Again, asterisks following the TR score indicate the team was running short-handed. |

Perry's Pitch: | Light action during the weekend, though Saratoga ran among some top teams in getting 4th in the Great American Race of Champions in North Carolina. Syosset captured the Seeded race there. Biggest performances came from Penfield at its home Penfield-Irondequoit meet and Colonie with a rankings boosting 1st at Grout. Fayetteville-Manlius and Liverpool will be among the teams in the Eastern States race at Manhattan and will be joined by Warwick Valley.
Kyle's Comments: | Not much changeup in the week before the big one. |

Perry's Pitch: | It was a very quiet weekend in Class B, though four teams still managed to get wins. East Aurora at Knox-C and Queensbury at Grout had especially big days, and Q's Spartans are prepped along with Holy Names for strong performances in the Manhattan's Eastern States race on Saturday.
Kyle's Comments: | East Aurora continues undefeated, yet being one of the smallest schools in Class B. |

Perry's Pitch: | Bronxville once again won the St. Anthony's-Small race without much difficulty, but the biggest leap was made by Broadalbin-Perth which reached a whole new level while winning at Grout. Bronxville will be the only top C team in action at Manhattan.
Kyle's Comments: | Not much shakeup here either. |

Perry's Pitch: | Class D had a little bit of action last weekend as Tully picked up a win in a Small race and Maple Grove took the honors in a Large race. Everything is relative. The TRs dropped for many of the teams running as many teams seemed to experiencing a post-McQuaid letdown.
Kyle's Comments: | Tully has been pulling away steadily in the Class D rankings, looking better each week. |
