2023 NY Boys XC Preview: NYSAIS

NYSAIS Preview

Last year, we saw one of the best individual races in meet history, with three athletes who would go on to produce big times on and off the track. From that race, only Asher Beck (Hackley) returns. While he may have a significant gap on the individual field, he'll have the added task of leading the top ranked team in the Federation. They placed 4th place overall last year, but they're trying to topple reigning champs Trinity in 2023.

Owen Larson (Ethical Culture Fieldston) was 4th overall in the race last year, and comes in as the top contender to Beck's supremacy. And Riverdale Country Day is one addition to their Top 5 away from taking that top ranked slot in the preseason. Plenty of developments can happen over the long summer, so we'll see how things shape up on Day 1.
