PSAL Boys Recap

Wrap-up

The expected close showdown between Bronx Science and twice reigning champ Susan Wagner never developed as the the Wolverines placed three runners in the top 5 and five guys in the top 16 to run off with a 36-85 win over the Falcons. Bronx Science was led by Sawyer Cooper and Nathaniel Lentz in 2nd and 3rd and Itmar Pres in 5th, Shmuel Padwa in 10th, and Wyatt Morgan in 16th.

Susan Wagner had a trio of Michael Rodriguez-King, Keith Connelly, and Muhammad Qadri in the top 20 and were not that far off their average time while winning the Staten Island Boro championship, but the Falcons fell to a team that just picked up its pace a lot more on Saturday. Brooklyn Tech with Dylan Canales leading the way in 4th and Metropolitan with Joshua Piza on top in 12th claimed the other two team spots at Federations. Riverdale-Kingsbridge was 5th.

RKA's Jacob Ireland won the race by a gaping 35 seconds after losing out by less than 3 seconds to Evan Sherman in last year's duel. Also in the top 5 were Cooper, Lentz and Pres of Bronx Science and Canales of BTech.
