September Startups: How Much Will Teams Grow in Two Months?

Boys A

Fayetteville-Manlius opened the year fairly strongly in 2017 and worked hard to get the score up to 180 at NXN Nationals. Corning opened the year without frontrunner Quinn Nicholson, but he was most definitely around by Sectionals when the Hawks posted their MSR, and their change would have been closer to 8 points without his later season time. Two other teams that were missing key runners in their start-off races were Niskayuna minus Colin Ross and St. Anthony's minus Matthew Payamps. Bethlehem had an unusually high rise of more than 20 points, as things weren't quite assembled yet at an appearance at the Shaker Invite. Guilderland peaked in its first race at the Guilderland Invite, which is also highly unusual.
