Girls 4x800
When: Friday, Jan 19th @ 3:55pm (Over 600), @ 9:40pm (Under 600)
Why: There were three teams projected to do very well in the 4x800m this year, and two of them are entered here. Shenendehowa is the reigning State Champ in the event Indoors. They bring back 3 of 4 of those legs, and being one of the largest schools in the State, they have the inventory to replace. However, they'll be without star senior Hannah Reale, who is still coming back from XC. What they can run here should be informative to their potential later in the season. The other name to know is Ward Melville, who bring back everyone from a relay that was knocking on 9mins outdoors. They're entered here with the sole purpose of running fast.
Other relays to watch are Shoreham-Wading River with Katherine Lee having run 2:04 outdoors. Also, Suffern is coming in for only the relays, and Mary Hennelly might be the most fresh on the line. Sachem East has a well balanced squad ready to go, and not much from outside the State is knocking on the door. This could be a very telling event for the rest of the season.
