Reigning champ Newfane did well enough without a key runner at Wayne Pre-States to sit in the 3rd spot behind an also short-handed Bronxville squad that took 4th at Villa Bears. Canton gets a boost for running in the heat against the Class A teams at Pre-States, and Saranac, Harley-Allendale-Columbia (girls in Class C), and Clinton all began the year looking very promising.
