Section | Top Teams | Notes |
1 | Pleasantville, Putnam Valley, North Salem, Croton Harmon, Bronxville, Dobbs Ferry, Pawling, Irvington, | A lot of teams could be on the lead in S1-C, but Pleasantivllle seems to be the one that could have a breakout team. |
2 | Albany Academy, Glens Falls, Voorheesville, Schuylerville, Greenville, Johnstown | Reigning S2-C champ Albany Academy likely has enough guys coming back to be the strongest team again. |
3 | Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, Cazenovia, Jordan-Elbridge, Marcellus, Hannibal, Port Byron, Clinton, Holland Patent | VVS drops down to Class C and appears to be a little better stocked than the rest of the S3-C. |
4 | Watkins Glen, Oneonta | States champion Watkins Glen is the big favorite despite its heavy graduation losses. |
5 | Marcus Whitman, Wayland-Cohocton, LeRoy | With Addison dropping down to Class D, Marcus Whitman should take over in S5-C. |
6 | Wilson, Alden, Newfane, Gowanda, Fredonia, Soutwestern | There's
a big group of possibilities in S6-C, but Wilson might have a little
little more returning than does reigning champ Alden. |
7 | Saranac Lake, Saranac, Plattsburgh | Saranac Lake has a lot of veterans back and should be in control in S7-C. |
8 | Oyster Bay, Wheatley | Pretty much a toss up but Oyster Bay seems to have more returning runners. |
9 | Mount Academy, James O'Neill, Onteora, Sullivan West, Burke Catholic | Mount lost its entire varsity but there should be enough top runners coming up to keep the team pretty strong. |
10 | Salmon River, Ogedensburg, Canton | Salmon River has the most runners returning and should win again. |
11 | Port Jefferson, Center Moriches | This one is pretty even, but Port Jeff should have everyone returning against reigning champ Center Moriches. |
