Girls NBN Recap: New York Sweeps The Distance Events, Adds More In Field

Girls Relays

A busy weekend for West Babylon, as they kick off the weekend with an SMR win.  With a stellar 2:05 anchor leg, they came away champions when they needed it most.  They would come back for a 5th in the 4x800m, and a 7th in the 4x400m, but none would match their SMR performance to kick off the weekend.

Quick Stats:

NY #2 All-Time - SMR

NY #4 All-Time - SMR (Shenendehowa)

NY #15 All-Time - 4x400m

After a few seasons of hardship, the stars aligned for Shoreham-Wading River.  They crushed their season best in the 4x800m, and then came back within 12 hours, and went US #4 All-Time in the 4xMile.  Katherine Lee was especially impressive, splitting 2:04 and 4:48 respectively.  Two national titles for a team that didn't send a relay to States. Shenendehowa took second in the 4xMile, Corning third.  Ward Melville would take third in the 4x800m

Quick Stats:

NY #8 All-Time - 4x800m

NY #2 All-Time - 4xMile
