Girls Distance

Here come the heavy hitters.  Emily Phillipeddes (Greenwich, CT) will lead the field, fresh off her 2:10.88 at Loucks.  Two more big names from the Loucks 800m is Emily Young (West Genesee) at 2:14.71, and a Kelsey Chmiel (Saratoga) who can surprise at any seed.  Right on their tails at 2:15 low is both Edena Sanchez (Amsterdam) and Jessica Donald (Tully).  All-in-all, there are eleven seeds under 2:20 heading into the final.

Chmiel and Phillppedes comes back from the 800m into the 1500,and both will be chasing Hannah Reale (Shenendehowa), who clocked 4:26.88 at her home invitational, good for US #3.  Her teammate, Julia Zachgo, will be joining her in the final, as well as 8th grader Brooke Rauber (Tully).

One final time, Chmiel comes back in what may be her best event, as does Rauber from the 1500m.  Chmiel's teammate Ciara Knott and Burnt Hills Eva Scott are dead even behind them in the seeds as well.
