Summary: | Reigning champ Stuyvesant has the ratings edge by a minuscule amount going into Saturday and has the individual favorite Kiyan Tavangar leading the way after taking 2nd last year following a thrilling final-stretch battle with John Akekeya. But McKee Tech, Brooklyn Tech, and Midwood may have more overall depth, so it would be no surprise if any of the top four closely rated teams win here. With another four-pack of Tottenville, Susan Wagner, Riverdale Kingsbridge Academy, and Bronx Science close behind the top group, this race will probably need a while for the scorers to figure out the result. James Madison's Humberto Wallace won the separate PSAL Individual race last year, and he is the big favorite there again. |
