Results for 2015 Tour de NY-XC Finally Announced

. . . 1: Boys General Classification

The only race in the 2015 XC season in which Ben Petrella and Noah Affolder battled head to head was the Eastern States contest at the Manhattan Invitational, and the 3.51 TR gap that Noah had over Ben while winning there was the decider for the boys' GC title. Petrella went on to post the best marks in the States and NXN-NY+FL-NE stages, but Affolder's mark at FL-NE stayed just 1.16 TR behind Petrella's winning mark in NXN-NY. Affolder put an early hurt on the rest of the competition with a crushing 197.03 TR in the McQuaid-AA at the early October meet, 6 points ahead of Petrella's winning time in the AAA race. The only runner who competed in four or more races who used his McQuaid result was Noah's brother Sam, who also picked up some nice race points for finishing 4th overall. Xavier's Christian Raslowsky ran all five stages and earned his only race point with a 10th at McQuaid, but he was happy to drop out his GC there because it was way behind some later results.

Though invisible at either McQuaid or Manhattan, Aidan Tooker beat out Conor Lundy for 3rd thanks in part to his top mark for winning the Federation stage and sandwiching two strong 4th place TRs around it. Lundy was ill in early October and had to fight back toward the top in the three November stages. Noah Carey rounded out the top 5 thanks especially to strong performances in the Manhattan and Federation stages, and Kenny Vasbinder, Eion Nohilly, Nathan Lawler, Jake Johnson, and Donny Glavin composed the rest of the top 10. St. Anthony's was the team leader with three guys in the top 25, as Ryan Dearie edged teammate Frederick Buckholtz for the lucky 13th spot and Ryan Kutch was 21st.
