Girls 1000m |
Breakdown: Two girls began to separate from the pack at the 600m split. Jazmine Fray of Kellenberg knew Jessica Drop of Coginchaug, CT would be quick, but was unable to respond to the newcomers final kick. Drop comes from a burgeoning power in CT, a state itself that has seen a rise in talent the past three years.

Girls Mile |
Breakdown: Wow! Nobody expected the race to go out that quick. Catherine Pagano of NJ had a misstep at her Meet of Champions in XC, and just ran the Foot Locker qualifier to finish up her season with some fun. More fun was to be had at Bishop Loughlin, as she began to sprint away from the field after 400m in. However, Marissa Sheva of PA had just come off Foot Locker Nationals, where she placed 25th overall. Maintaining the fitness one more week seemed to be no problem, and Sheva caught Pagano in the concluding laps. The pair took off together, each earning a new PR, and most assuredly an invite to Millrose. That would be the third for Sheva in as many years, a feat in intself.
