Final Rankings for 2014
The post season slate of meets that included the Sectional, State, NYC Confederation, and Federation championships is done, and we are summing up the results of the year in an expanded listing for each class. Class A warrants 50 selections, Classes B and C have 40, and Class D has 25. The results of the upcoming NXN races could change the outlook a bit, but with many teams now gearing up for winter track, putting a capper on the year seems the right thing to do.
These rankings have tried to look at the entire season's body of work, so a team that lost their top runner late in October will be given a higher ranking than its performance in a Sectional race would seem to indicate. A great deal of weight is placed on a team's last meet this year, especially the Sectional and NYC Confederation races, and obviously the States and Federation races for the teams that qualified for them.
