The U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2013 Division I All-Academic Track & Field teams with a total of 298 men's and women's teams earning the distinction as a result of earning a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or higher. The Atlantic 10 Conference led all conferences for the 2012-13 season with a total of 20 teams represented, which included Fordham's men's and women's teams.

The weather gods turned the annual Fordham Fiasco cross country meet into a true fiasco, with heavy rains and winds hampering the women's race and turning the Van Cortland Park course into a muddy mesh, but the event went off as scheduled with the Fordham men placing second among NCAA Division I school and the women taking fourth.

Celebration senior Quincy O'Connor has made his college decision. O'Connor who is originally from Buffalo, New York will head back to the Empire State and run for Fordham University. He says he chose the Rams the middle of last week over offers from a few Ivy League schools. and some smaller liberal arts schools. In the end Fordham was the best fit for O'Connor.

The Fordham University cross country squad will hold a special ceremony to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the attacks of September 11th prior to the 2011 Fordham Fiasco meet at Van Cortlandt on Saturday, September 10th at 10:00 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the finish line of the Van Cortlandt Park Cross Country course in the Bronx (directly across the street from 6115 Broadway).

The Fordham men's & women's track & field teams were both honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) today, as both squads were named to the Division I All-Academic Track & Field Teams for the 2010 season. A total of 224 teams, men and women combined, earned the distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or better.
The USTFCCCA also announced the women's 2010 Division I All-Academic Track & Field team. A record total of 551 student-athletes representing 150 institutions compose the group. The NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship got underway on Wednesday, as Fordham senior Matt DiBuono (New Rochelle, N.Y./Iona Prep) became the first Ram competitor in over 20 years at the event. DiBuono took on the nation's best in the hammer throw, looking to become Fordham's first All-American in track & field since 2007.
