The Oakton girls and Thomas Jefferson boys had impressive team performances at the Eastern State Championships held at Van Courtland Park\'s 2.5 mile course in New York City. The Oakton girls, ranked #2 in the NTN Southeast region, won the girls\' A division race with a low team score of 35 points. Meanwhile, the Thomas Jefferson boys competed in the competitive Eastern State Boys Championship race and came away with a third place finish behind NTN Northeast #4 ranked Christian Brothers Academy of New Jersey and #5 ranked Cherokee of New Jersey with a team total of 145 points.
LaSalle must be tiring of 4th place at Van Cortlandt, but on the positive side, they have lost to four of the top teams in the Northeast and Southeast US. They were 16 points out of 3rd behind SE#9 Thomas Jefferson VA in the Eastern States boys race. NE
