The 48th Annual Fort Plain Cross-Country Invitational will be held on Saturday, October 24th, 2026. This is a date change due to a variety of Invitational Schedule changes.

The venue will remain the same, being held on the campus of Harry H. Hoag Elementary School and the adjacent Wiles Park. 

The courses are very fast yet offer a challenge to even the most experienced runners. The Harriers will compete across mostly grass and some dirt, with varying topography and elevation changes. Both novice and veteran racers will enjoy this very fast track and should see personal bests. 

Those in attendance will enjoy sweeping views of the historic and picturesque Mohawk Valley. A majority of the races can be viewed from just a few vantage points, making it one of the more spectator friendly venues in Section 2. The windswept campus offers a panoramic view of the former Revolutionary Frontier Fort Plain, the Adirondacks and the rolling hills and dales of the valley, where farmer and trapper, native and settler, once lived side by side.

RACE SCHEDULE:

• 8:45-Coaches Meeting at the Starting Area
• 9:00 Boys Modified (~1.7 Miles) Unlimited Entries
• 9:30 Girls Modified (~1.7 Miles) Unlimited Entries
• 10:00 VARSITY GIRLS - 1 RACE (~3.0 Miles) 10 Entries
• 10:30 VARSITY BOYS - 1 RACE (~3.0 Miles) 10 Entries
• 11:00 Junior Varsity Boys and Girls (~3.0 Miles) Unlimited Entries (*Separate Chutes)

AWARDS

Individuals: Medals for the Top 25 places in each race

Team Awards:

• Modified Races- Team Trophies/Plaques for 1st and 2nd Place Teams
• JV Boys and Girls Races- Trophies/Plaques for 1st and 2nd Place Teams
• Varsity Boys and Girls Races (All Divisions) Trophies/Plaques for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place teams  
• No Varsity Team Champion T-Shirts due to limited entries 

 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• A limited selection of  Meet T-Shirts will be for sale on sight -CASH ONLY-NO VENMO, Cards or Apple Pay
• Concession Stand will be available featuring all sorts of food and drinks
• Port-A-Johns will be on Site
• There are 2 Stewart's Shops in the village as well as 2 pizza/sub shops. A Dunkin' Donuts, McDonalds and Subway are located in nearby Palatine Bridge.

ENTRY FEES:

$170 per School (Boys Team and Girls Team) 

$90 for one entry-Boys team only or Girls team only.

Please send checks or school vouchers ahead of the meet to guarantee your entry.
